An community gathering center designed for wellness
“When I thought about Pinehaven and what I wanted it to be, I wanted it to be a placed that I loved. A place that I personally will live and with it things I care most about starting with health. We have intentionally invested millions of dollars into this concept and I’m very excited to see the impact of this wellness center on our residents.” - CEO, Tom Staub
Access to the private wellness center is included in HOA fees and no additional cost to owners and only available to owners
Pine Haven Wellness Center
Pine Haven’s wellness center is the heart of the community’s commitment to whole-person well-being. Designed to merge the restorative power of nature with advanced wellness technology, it features Blue Cube cold plunges for recovery and inflammation reduction, medical-grade platinum LED red light therapy to promote cellular renewal and vitality, and a Humm sauna crafted from Spanish cedar, a naturally antimicrobial wood that enhances both air quality and sensory calm.
The Japanese meditation room, framed by a large panoramic window overlooking the forest, provides a tranquil setting for daily reflection and mindfulness practice. Nearby, the yoga studio hosts guided classes for all skill levels—ranging from sunrise vinyasa to restorative evening flow—inviting residents to reconnect with balance, rhythm, and movement.
What truly sets Pine Haven apart, however, is the depth and intentionality of its wellness programming. Curated and administered through the community’s HOA, the wellness center serves as an active hub for ongoing education, group experiences, and lifestyle support. Regularly scheduled programs include:
Nutrition and meal-planning workshops, led by local chefs and holistic nutritionists, offering residents practical guidance on healthy cooking and seasonal meal prep.
Wellness speaker series featuring experts in mindfulness, functional medicine, and fitness science.
Community health initiatives, such as group hikes, forest-bathing sessions, and guided breathwork events integrated with the surrounding trail system.
Collaborations with local wellness brands and practitioners, providing residents exclusive access to treatments, fitness pop-ups, and recovery services.
Through these thoughtfully designed experiences, Pine Haven transforms its amenities into a living, breathing ecosystem of health and community connection. Every program, every event, and every partnership is meant to nurture not just the body, but the social and emotional fabric of the neighborhood.
Evidence-Based Wellness Design
Pine Haven’s wellness philosophy isn’t just aesthetic—it’s supported by a growing body of scientific research that validates the measurable health benefits of sauna use, meditation, and red-light therapy. Each modality within the wellness center is purposefully selected for its proven capacity to enhance physical and mental well-being.
Sauna Therapy
Numerous clinical studies—including those from the Journal of the American Medical Association and Mayo Clinic Proceedings—demonstrate that regular sauna use improves cardiovascular health, supports detoxification, and can reduce the risk of hypertension and dementia. Repeated exposure to controlled heat has been shown to stimulate circulation, lower inflammation markers (CRP), and boost endorphin release, resulting in better sleep and stress reduction. The antimicrobial nature of Spanish cedar further ensures a cleaner, healthier sauna environment that enhances respiratory function.
Meditation and Mindfulness
Research from Harvard Medical School, Stanford University, and the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) consistently confirms the effects of meditation on reducing cortisol levels, improving emotional regulation, and increasing gray-matter density in the hippocampus—the region linked to memory and learning. Daily mindfulness practice is also associated with lower rates of anxiety and depression, improved heart-rate variability, and heightened cognitive resilience. Pine Haven’s Japanese meditation room, overlooking the forest, is intentionally designed to amplify these effects through biophilic connection—proven to lower blood pressure and restore mental focus.
Red-Light Therapy
Backed by clinical trials published in The Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology and Frontiers in Medicine, medical-grade LED red-light therapy has been shown to stimulate mitochondrial energy production (ATP), accelerate muscle recovery, enhance collagen synthesis, and reduce inflammation at the cellular level. This therapy is increasingly recognized in sports medicine and dermatology for its role in faster recovery, improved skin tone, and enhanced mood regulation through circadian support.
Collectively, these evidence-based modalities embody Pine Haven’s mission to create a scientifically grounded, holistic environment—where residents don’t just live well, but thrive through intentional wellness design.
